In an emergency, staff, students and visitors need to respond safely and quickly to reduce the risk of injury and damage to property.
Review the 9 Emergency Event Instructions below to ensure you know what to do. These emergency procedures outline the immediate actions you should take in response to each incident.

Incident Response and Reporting
Call 911 for help during an emergency.
- Afterwards, call NAIT Protective Services at 780.471.7477.
- If it is safe to do so, remain at the incident location until first responders arrive.
- In a non-urgent or non-life-threatening situation, contact NAIT Protective Services. When in doubt, call 911.
- When reasonably practicable, complete and submit the online incident report.
