NAIT has training available to staff to provide an overview of Emergency Procedures while on campus or working for NAIT. Current courses are listed below and will be updated as required. All courses listed in this section are available to staff on NAIT's Course Catalogue.

 

Emergency Warden Program

EMB600(For All)

This course is intended for all employees of NAIT. When there are emergencies on any NAIT campus that require evacuations employees are expected to help facilitate a safe and efficient evacuation of anyone in the building. This includes other employees, students, visitors, contractors, and anyone requiring assistance. The course is required to be taken every two years to ensure knowledge and skills are up to date in the event of an evacuation.

Emergency Coordination Centre Fundamentals

EMB200(For Staff)

This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the fundamentals of the ECC, including activation and deactivation, and the roles who work together in the ECC.

ECC: Operational Cycle and ECC Enablement

EMB201(For Staff)

This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the planning and operational cycle for the ECC as well as touch on the ECC enablement teams.

ECC: The Sections

EMB202(For ECC and CCT Teams)

This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Management Team and the Sections.

ECC: Emergency Social Services

EMB203(For ESS Team, optional for ECC and CCT Teams)

This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through Emergency Social Services, that may be activated during an ECC response.

ECC: Working Effectively in the ECC

EMB204(For ECC and CCT Teams)

This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through communication and working effectively in the ECC.
