NAIT has training available to staff to provide an overview of Emergency Procedures while on campus or working for NAIT. Current courses are listed below and will be updated as required. All courses listed in this section are available to staff on NAIT's Course Catalogue.
This course is intended for NAIT employees who have been designated by their supervisors to serve as emergency wardens for their areas. In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation, these employees are expected to help facilitate a safe and efficient evacuation of individuals in their area. This includes fellow employees, students, visitors, contractors, and anyone who may require assistance. To ensure knowledge and skills remain current, a refresher is recommended every three years.
This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the fundamentals of the ECC, including activation and deactivation, and the roles who work together in the ECC.
This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the planning and operational cycle for the ECC as well as touch on the ECC enablement teams.
This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Management Team and the Sections.
This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through Emergency Social Services, that may be activated during an ECC response.
This course is intended for all Emergency Coordination Centre team members. The course will go through communication and working effectively in the ECC.
