COVID-19 Update for Jan. 29: New guidelines for gradual easing of public health restrictions

Posted: Jan 29, 2021 4:15 PM   |  Updated: Jan 29, 2021 4:13 PM

Today, the Government of Alberta shared details of their new roadmap on how restrictions will be eased in steps over the coming months. Step 1 comes into effect Feb. 8. All other restrictions remain in effect.

NAIT is evaluating the plan to understand what impact step 1 may have on the specific on-campus activities that have been impacted to date by the current health restrictions. If there are impacts to NAIT, we will communicate those changes early next week at nait.ca/covid19.

There continues to be no impact to student learning outcomes. Classes, shops, labs, applied research and other Industry Solutions activities will continue as currently scheduled.

Until Step 1 is in effect, all current public health restrictions remain in place. This includes all health and safety protocols put in place at NAIT.
