 NAIT's campuses are open and, over the summer months, we will gradually see more in-person services available. Check the table below before coming to campus for what's open and how to access services. This table will be updated as access changes.

Library Services 

In-person services, computers and study spaces are available. All virtual services remain available. Visit library.nait.ca for details. 

  • Print materials, laptops and/or other technologies can be borrowed from the library. Find out how.
  • The Study Lounge (U210) and Makerspace (U310) are closed.
Computer Commons

Food and beverages are not allowed at the Computer Commons.

  • NAIT Protective Services (NPS) located in D104 will be accepting key returns. Contact keys prior to returning keys

Weekly rentals
A variety of shorter rental periods (2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 weeks) will be available at a special rate. Please note the weekly term rentals begin from the day you reserve your locker.

Lockers in the Fitness Weight Centre (FWC) have been transitioned over to the One@NAIT office

Health and wellness

Health Services

All Health Services locations at NAIT are open. Masks are required in these spaces.

  • Main Campus Clinic (S105) open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.).
  • Patricia Campus Health Office (P130) open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.).
  • Souch Campus Health Office (Z153F) open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.).
Recreation facilities and Fitness Programs


  • Main Campus recreation facilities to be open this Fall with some restrictions. This includes the Fitness Weight Centre, main gymnasium and arena.
  • A variety of in-person and virtual programs will be offered to support students. All programs and services will be listed in the Health and Well-being section in the student portal under Fitness and Recreation Programs
Student Counselling

Student Counselling has been open virtually throughout the pandemic by phone or video, and will be resuming in-person and drop-in service on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at W111PB. Office hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Remote campus service is also available. 

  • Students can contact Counselling by phone at 780.378.6133, by email at counselling@nait.ca or  through my.nait.ca/counselling.
  • Students can also access 24-hour self-check strategies and video counselling at wellnesstogether.ca, a free comprehensive support for all Canadians.
  • Kids Help Phone is 24-hours and not just for kids. Text 686686, call 1-800--668-6868 or chat online at kidshelpphone.ca.
Reflection Rooms

Reflection rooms re-open on Wednesday, Sept. 8 in J207 (1 person capacity) and CAT406 (15 person capacity).

  • If staff and students are seeking spiritual support or guidance, please connect virtually with one of NAIT's volunteer chaplains. Email chaplaincy@nait.ca to book an appointment.
