Current situation at NAIT

What to expect on campus

As we continue to navigate the pandemic, the health and safety of the NAIT community remain our top priorities. The risk of transmission of COVID-19 has remained low on NAIT’s campuses throughout the pandemic, and we continue to take steps to minimize this risk.

We all have a shared responsibility to keep our community safe. Before coming to campus, learn more about health and safety measures, current vaccination requirements and how you can help minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Guidelines and resources

Staying safe on campus

  • Stay home if you're sick.
  • Everyone is required to wear masks in all indoor public spaces on campus and maintain physical distancing.
  • Screen for symptoms daily before coming to campus.
  • After October 8, those coming to campus must provide

    • proof that they have received at least a first dose of a World Health Organization approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior; or

    • show proof of a negative test result (tests must be privately paid COVID-19 PCR or rapid tests completed within the previous 72 hours); or

    • demonstrate an approved accommodation from NAIT and compliance with any terms of that accommodation, including rapid testing

Everyone coming to NAIT campuses, including students, staff, contractors and visitors, will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Nov. 8.  This is the best way to help protect yourself and others. Learn more.

You can visit the Government of Alberta’s vaccine page for more information about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines and to book an appointment.

If you notice an area on campus that requires additional cleaning, please contact Facilities Maintenance.
