EPS notice to Edmonton post-secondary institutions re: indecent acts

Today, April 19, the Edmonton Police Service provided a warning to the community that David Adams has reoffended and was arrested on April 18.
This follows a duty to warn notice the Edmonton Police Service issued to Edmonton-based post-secondaries.
Adams was originally arrested in February 2023 following indecent acts that occurred near NAIT and U of A North Campus areas. Adams has been prohibited from attending U of A and NAIT campuses.
Investigators are encouraging any others who may have had similar interactions with Adams to come forward.

If you have been affected by these events or the news of these events, counselling services are available free of charge to staff and students.
Campus security
On NAIT campuses, be aware of your surroundings. If something is not right, trust your gut and report observations as appropriate. If an act of violence is in progress or has just happened, priority one is to ensure you are safe. Call 911 if you need immediate help. If you are on NAIT property, you should then call NAIT Protective Services when it is safe to do so at 780.471.7477 or by using the “Emergency Contacts” button on the NAIT Alert mobile app.
